Is It OK Not to Eat Right After Weightlifting?

Giggles-for-life asked:

Sometimes, I wait like 2hrs after ive finished my weightlifting routine to eat something (with protein). Is that ok, or do you have to eat right after you finish?

Thanks in advance

Yes, it is ok. However, as soon as your weight lifting is over is the time to burn you excess calories or carbs. It’s a after affect of the metabolism working harder. At least eat a banana or something small but healthy.

For your weightlifting or else all the hard work you just did is basically worthless.
The hard work you just did is really good on your weightlifting session to have maximum effect on your weightlifting or else all the book eat smart play hard work you.

Ideally, you want to have some sort of protein-rich food within thirty minutes of finishing your workout. This will help your muscles recover more efficiently.
